Issue 2 passed easily, apparently in lockstep, and driven by the increased turnout of Issue 1. The good news is that Ohio legislative leaders have already promised to amend the most egregious sections of this absurdly slanted 50-page, 23,000-word ballot-initiative that essentially no voters read.
Weed Free Kids honors the will of the voters, and has never been prohibitionist, but we hope, for the sake of Ohio’s kids and the driving public, that our legislature and governor act swiftly and certainly to dramatically reshape this industry bill that so favors profits over the lives of Ohioans.
